Talking about oppression and stress this poem by Bahamian poet Pintard comes to life through the graphic image displaying contentment amongst the sounds.

President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu of Kosovo visits the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas and was able to see the installation “The Silverfish.” The highlight of Bahamian culture and economic enterprise.

The Illustrious Annual Group. Exhibition of the NAGB Museum highlighted multiple new artist and was so large that an offsite was created. My 13ft sculpture was the main feature in the Hillside Art Gallery.

Straw Plaiting has a rich cultural history in the Bahamas and many of the crafts men and women are from the outer islands. The harvesting of the plant is primarily centered on 3 islands and makes the craft niche and generationally passed down.

A Referendum to support equality turned sour in 2016 and it was a reflection of an old folktale told time and time again.

Usually commission works come with their own challenges. Making a 610 sq ft wall surrounding a private padel court in the Bahamas‘ most private and elite residencies, Lyford Cay, disappear challenged my understanding of movement and the ever changing effect light has on color perception. 

Group and private classes are  offered to anyone interested, whether pursuing it as a profession or as a leisure activity. Instructors will teach techniques ranging from basic plaiting to advanced decorative work, and the program includes business training on product development, pricing, and online sales to help new and existing artisans turn craft into viable income. 

Inclusion of natural elements in 

Featured in the Solaris show of the D’Aguliar Art Foundation. Two of the collection were showcased. And are part of a larger body of work that highlights the movement of culture, people and thought while I travelled in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
